HA1240 Ruger Red Label Sporting, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" & 3", 30"MC Bbls. (Used 99%) $1,395

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

This Ruger Red Label Sporting was sold new by Hero's Arms a few months ago.  The owner fired 75 shots, all through the top barrel, and decided he wanted a dedicated trap gun, so traded it in for a BT99.  It has a few small abrasions on the right side top barrel near the muzzle which reduces it to 99% condition.  It comes with 5 choke tubes in Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder and two Skeet constrictions.  The 30" Barrels are overbored to .745" for a better pattern and reduced recoil.  It has nicely figured wood, and is basically a new gun.  Because the barrels are not ported it could easily be used for hunting, as well as sporting clays, skeet or trap.

HA1238 Beretta 471EL Side-by-Side, English Stock, 12 Ga. 2 3/4" & 3", 28"MC Bbls., (Used 99%), $4,995

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

This Beretta 471 EL was manufactured in 2004 and has seen little use.  It has picked up a ding on the bottom of the stock (Just about where you would screw in the included Sling Swivel if desired). The Exhibition Grade satin finished stock has a 14 3/4" Length of pull over a checkered wood butt plate.  The receiver and side plates are case colored and have golden birds for accent.  It comes with five Optima choke tubes in Full, Improved modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Cylinder constrictions. It weighs only 6 pounds 12 ounces, making it an easy to carry 12 Gauge.  This is an elegant gun for upland hunting.

HA1148 B. Rizzini (Sigarms) SA5 Sporting, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4", 29 5/8"MC  (Nom 30) Bbls. (Used 99%), $1,895

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

This little used (99%)  B. Rizzini, imported by Sigarms, is an all around sporting clays and skeet gun which could also be used for hunting or trap.  With its nominal 30" (actually 29 5/8", or 750mm) barrels, 2 3/4" chamber, long forcing cones, chrome lined bores, and five Seminole Extended Chokes in Modified, Light Modified, Improved Cylinder, Skeet and Cylinder constrictions it is ready for anything on a skeet or sporting clays course.  For trap handicap doubles you might want to order full or extra full chokes from Seminole.  The only sign of use is a small scratch on the left side of the stock, shown in the photo.  The barrels are not ported, so it could be used for hunting.  It weighs 7 pounds, 15 ounces and has a 14 1/2" Length of Pull.  It has a small 1.5mm Hex Socket behind the trigger which is used to adjust trigger play, and it comes with a wrench.  In my opinion adjusting trigger play is one of those "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" situations. This is a high quality gun, and service is available from the current importer, Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company (CSMC).  General features of B. Rizzini shotguns are listed on CSMC's website.

HA1139 SKB 585 Target, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" & 3", 28"MC Bbls., (Used 99%), $1,295

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

This lightly used SKB (SaKaBa) .12 Gauge O/U has 28" barrels and comes with Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder and 2 Skeet chokes, a 3" chamber for both 2 1/2" & 3" shells so it can be used both for clays and hunting, and a pistol grip stock.  It uses Briley choke tubes so they are easily available. LOP is 14 3/8" over solid rubber recoil pad, and it weighs 8 pounds, 0.5 ounces. The receiver is cut from a forged steel ingot by computerized CNC machines to precise dimensions measured in thousandths of an inch. The final result is a low profile box lock receiver with a modified "Greener" style crossbolt locking mechanism inletted at the top of the receiver. The strength of this design ensures that it is capable of providing a lifetime of shooting. The monobloc is also cut from a forged steel ingot by computerized CNC machines to similar precise dimensions. The monobloc contains 2 locking lugs which engage the crossbolt, 2 integral shoulder lugs and a base lug which interlocks with the receiver as the action is closed. This combination forms one of the strongest actions on the market. The barrel tubes are seated and soldered into the monobloc to ensure the correct point of impact of both the top and bottom barrel. Each side of the monobloc is precisely cut for a single piece ejector and the pivot seat. The finished barrel group rotates at the pivot seat on two trunnions mounted through the sides of the receiver. After years of use, the SKB action can be easily re-tightened if need be, ensuring that it maintains a tight fit for many more years of service.  An excellent gun for sporting clays, skeet, trap or hunting.  There are no dings or scratches anywhere on the gun, the only sign that it is not brand new is some deterioration, or freckling in the silver finish mostly on the top tang and the top left of the receiver.  It has an after-market fiber optic sight glued on the rib behind the original bead front sight - this could be removed if it was not wanted.

HA1118 Miida 2200 Skeet, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4", 27" SK/SK (Used 97%), $995

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

OK, so I didn't know what a Miida was either. Miida (Pronounced Mee-ee-dah) is a Winchester 101, but with better wood and engraving, smuggled out of the Ohlin-Kodensha plant where the 101 was made by Nikko to be assembled in a building next door and then sold in the US in 1972 and 1973 by Marubeni USA (all this according to the Blue Book entry on Nikko).  This used Miida is in excellent condition except for a crack in the wood behind the receiver on the left side which doesn't cause any trouble and seems unlikely to grow. It has beautiful, almost full coverage, deeply incised, floral engravings on the receiver and top lever.  The forearm release lever is the older, more expensive to make, two piece design similar to the Browning Superposed.  It accepts 2 3/4" shells in its 27" barrels, fixed choked Skeet and Skeet.  It has a 14" Length Of Pull over a plastic but plate, making it suitable for the shorter shooter, and of course, a recoil pad could be installed to increase the LOP.  This would be an excellent gun for skeet, upland hunting or sporting clays, particularly since a gun of this quality and appearance is rarely found selling for under $1000.

HA1067 Browning BSS Side-by-Side, 20 Ga., 2 3/4" & 3", 26"MF Bbls., (Used 99+%), $1,995

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

Made in 1976, the third year of production for 20 Gauge BSS shotguns, this gun may never have been fired.  The bluing and wood are in excellent condition, with only the lightest handling marks in the gloss finish.  It is fitted with a Single Non-Selective trigger (SNS) so that the more open right barrel with a Modified choke always fires first, followed by the left barrel with a Full choke.  It has an automatic safety which goes on safe every time the gun is opened.  It balances right at the hinge for fast handling.  Its 26" barrels, which chamber both 2 3/4" & 3" shells, are ideal for upland hunting.  It has a wide wrap-around beaver tail style forearm which protects the hand from hot barrels (unlike a splinter forearm which requires using gloves or a slip on hand-guard).  All in all this is a beautifully kept, historic, and functional gun for hunting or collecting.

HA1046 B. Rizzini Round Body EM Small Action,  28 Ga., 2 3/4", 29 3/8"MC Bbls, (Used 99.9%), Cased, $3,995

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

This Battista Rizzini Round Body EM small action has been carefully and gently used (99.9%).   It is light and slender, having 29 3/8" multi-choke barrels, and choke tubes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Cylinder constrictions.  It has a 14 1/4" Length of Pull over a Kick-Eez recoil pad.  The high-grade walnut stock has interesting figure.  The hand engraved floral patterns, and gun dog, on the receiver make this into art on a steel canvas.  The Round Body reduces weight, and provides a comfortable hand hold.  Because these are imported by B. Rizzini USA there is a complete service facility on site to provide repairs or alterations.  This is a beautiful gun for a collector, upland hunter, or sporting clays shooter, and it is being sold at a considerable discount to the list price..

HA933 Browning Superposed (Belgium), O/U, 12 Ga. 2 3/4", 30"M/F Bbls, (Used 95%), $995

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

When I first started in the Firearms business I intended to restore old shotguns, and this1963 Browning would have been a perfect candidate.  Years of having people who watch "Antiques Road Show" tell me I should have never "touched it", and earnings of $0.25 an hour finally dissuaded me and now I sell them as they come.  This gun is mechanically in good shape, the bluing is good, only slightly worn on sharp corners, and it could be used as is.  Here is a list of the defects: it started with a Monte-Carlo stock, but the Monte-Carlo has been (I suspect professionally) shaved off and not refinished with the gloss finish (See the photo of the left stock for the refinish line); it has a replacement "White Line" recoil pad which is now rock-hard and should be replaced again; it is missing the white bead insert in the front sight, though the sight base is there; there are various handling marks in the wood, most of which could be steamed out after the finish has been removed.  When you get through with this refinishing you will have an attractive Classic shotgun for field or trap.

HA750 Benelli Vinci Inertia Semi-Auto ComforTech, 12 Ga. 2 3/4" & 3", 28"MC Bbl., ANIC, $1,195

For a full page of  photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.

I purchased this personally to try it out and was quite pleased, but I don't have any need for a 12 Gauge Semi-Auto so I'm selling it as Almost-New-In-Case. Its warranty has never been registered.  It has had about 50 shots, two rounds of skeet, fired through it.  There are scads of features but the ones I like are the ComforTech stock, the straight line recoil, the easy to clean Inertial action, and the modular design which will eventually allow for changing the stock and the magazine for different applications.  It comes with five Benelli Crio Chokes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Cylinder constrictions.  The stock can be fitted with different combs and butt pads, and it has drop and cast spacers which can be used to adjust these measurements.  It takes a little practice to get it together and apart, and it is certainly unusual enough that you should, as I sometimes tell my wife,  RTFMD (Read The Fine Manual, Dear).
