Hero's Arms Says: This gun is set-up for the left handed shooter. In addition to having a Left-Hand palm swell, the stock is "Cast-On" by 1/4" (the center of the butt pad is 1/4" to the left of the center-line of the gun, so a shooter's left eye will be aligned with the sights). At 8 lbs 10.5 oz it will tame the recoil of a day's shooting. It has a 14 3/8" Length of Pull, which can be somewhat adjusted by moving the trigger. It comes with Full, Improved Modified, and Modified choke tubes, all one would normally need, but other Invector Plus Chokes are widely available. Hard to come by.

HA498 Winchester 101 Pigeon-Presentation Trap O/U, 12 Ga. 30"F/IM, Refinished, Cased, $3,950

This is a rare and beautifully engraved Winchester 101 Pigeon-Presentation Grade trap gun. The wood has been professionally refinished by Klaus Hiptmayer and the gun is in exceptional condition. I call it a Pigeon-Presentation Grade because I am unable to find reference to a Pigeon Grade with the gold and silver inlays that are in this particular pattern, which is the Presentation grade pattern. The ordinary 101 Pigeon Grade has a silver finish receiver, and the Super Pigeon Grade has different birds on the two sides. It comes in a new, fitted solid leather case with space for snap caps and cleaning supplies, straps, and with a canvas cover to protect the case. Have a look at the details of the engraving and the gold and silver inlays and you will see why this is the rival of the Browning Midas grade. This would make a wonderful present for yourself, or for someone you wish to honor.

This Browning BT99 Adjustable Trap gun is New-In-Box. This Browning BT99 Micro Trap gun is New-In-Box. It is designed specifically for Compact Adult/Youth Ambidextrous trap shooting, it has no safety (safety is assured by only loading and closing the gun when your turn has come and you are standing on the pad). A high end trap gun, with an adjustable Monte-Carlo comb to fit the shooter. A simple twist of an Allen wrench (included) through a hole in the butt pad and the comb can be set for a right or left handed shooter, raised or lowered to change the point of impact. The gun comes with 3 triggers, each of which can be set in any of 3 positions so the Length of Pull can be changed somewhat (it is difficult to shorten it much because the Allen socket sticks into the Butt Pad, so you can't put on a thin butt pad or saw off the stock easily). At 8 pounds 14 ounces, and with a thick recoil pad, this gun is built for continuous trap shooting. It has a high, tapered, vent rib to minimize the heat mirage effect from continuous shooting. Hero's Arms says: this is a great competition gun, particularly for a larger than normal, strong, right-handed shooter (it has a right-handed palm swell). HA602 Franchi Renaissance Sporting Adjustable Comb, 12 Gauge 2 3/4" & 3", 30"MC Ported Bbls., Briley 20 Ga. Side-Kicks (Used 99%) $1,895

This Franchi Renaissance Sporting has been used for a few months. It is a beautiful gun for any clay target sport, it weighs 7 pounds 14.5 ounces (steel receiver for weight and durability) and has a Twin Shock Absorber recoil pad (with a translucent Technogel insert) which has a 14 1/2" Length of Pull. Other TSA pads are available or on back-order which will give a 14.75" or 15" LOP. It has an adjustable Monte Carlo stock which can be used to set the gun for left or right handed shooters, and for Trap, Skeet or Sporting Clays. It has a right handed palm swell. The sight is a lime green fiber optic for quick target acquisition. The barrels are ported to reduce recoil and allow for a quicker second shot. It comes with 5 choke tubes in Modified, Improved Cylinder, two Skeet and Cylinder constrictions, others are widely available as they interchange with Benelli tubes. The safety is manual, not automatic, so you won't miss a target because you forgot to take the gun off safe. The receiver has highly detailed engraving and a gold clay pigeon on each side, with another on the top lever. It comes cased with a stock wrench, a choke tube wrench, and oil. A set of used 20 Gauge Briley Side-Kick inserts are included (these cost $300 new) and allow the gun to shoot and eject 20 Gauge shells. I took this gun out for a couple of rounds of skeet, shot a 24 with the 12 Gauge and a 21 with the Briley inserts (not their fault, my usual misses). My shooting companions told me I should keep it.

The Fabarms Gamma 2 Competition is an all around clay shooting gun. It weighs 7 lbs 13.5 ounces, heavy enough to calm the recoil, not so heavy as to be tiring to carry. Its 6 position adjustable trigger allows the Length Of Pull to be adjusted from about 14 3/8" to 14 3/4". Te forend iron, top lever, non-automatic safety and barrel selector are titanium protected, the steel receiver is coated with zirconium, nickel. The receiver is engraved with an elegant floral scroll, and it has the Fabarms Lion Rampant in gold on the bottom. The barrels have Fabarm's "Tribore" technology. They feature a 3 inch chamber with an extra long forcing cone, followed by an overbored (to .736") barrel, which then turns into a gradual cone, reducing in diameter from .736" to 722" over a distance of about 10 inches, before a short cylindrical area of about 2 inches just before the screw in choke tubes. It comes with eight Titanium protected Extended chokes in Full, Light Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Light Modified, Improved Cylinder, Skeet, and Cylinder bores. According to Fabarm, the Tribore barrel increases shot penetration by 52%. This gun was imported by Sigarms but I don't believe they guarantee it, and there is no manual. So the only guarantee is the 7 day inspection period from Hero's Arms.

This Winchester Select Model 101 looks very much like the 101 Winchester imported from Japan from 1961 to 1987, but this one is made in Belgium by Fabrique National (which made the Browning Superposed) and has an action similar to the other Winchester Select shotguns, with a Beretta style lockup. As a 12 Gauge which takes 2 3/4" & 3" shells in 28" barrels with Invector Plus choke tubes (Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder supplied Skeet Available) and a non-Automatic safety, this is very much an all-around gun suitable for hunting or clay target sports. It has a fairly short Length Of Pull, at 14 3/16", and no cast, so it would best fit a slightly shorter than average shooter, either right or left handed. It's list price is $2,061 but Hero's Arms got a deal on it so we are selling it for only $1,475, probably less than anybody else. It comes with a Lifetime Replacement warranty from Davidson's. This gun features 28" nickel plated barrels and a grey laminate stock making it suitable for shooting from your boat in salt spray, (using environmentally friendly steel shot of course), or hunting in the rain. The nickel won't rust, the laminate won't warp. At 8 pounds 4.5 ounces plus a vent rubber butt pad it will handle the recoil of a 3" load. A Browning B-80 12 Gauge Semi-Automatic Gas Operated Shotgun, made by Beretta in Italy and assembled at the FN plant in Portugal for Ducks Unlimited. This is the Ducks Unlimited Central Edition, "The Plains." It has exceptionally nice furniture and is in new, unfired condition. It could easily be used as a trap gun.

HA524 Remington Express 870 Pump Left Hand, Laminate Stock, 12 Ga. 3", 28"MC Bbl., NIB, $375

A utilitarian field gun which can also be used for clay target sports, this Remington 870 Express is set up for the left handed shooter. It ejects from the left side, and has a Left Hand cross bolt safety. It has a 13 15/16" Length Of Pull, making it suitable for the shorter shooter or for heavy hunting clothes. It has an attractive (I think) and strong laminated stock. It comes with one choke tube in Modified constriction, but of course Remington chokes in other constrictions are widely available. It has a two year warranty from Remington.
