This is a waterfowl gun for sure. With its synthetic stock, mossy oak duck blind camo finish, and 3 1/2" chamber (which will also shoot 2 3/4" and 3" shells) it is ready for the blind. The Inflex recoil system allows the gun to be fit to shooters from under 5' tall to well over 6' tall. The comb is adjustable for drop by pushing out a pin and sliding it up in 1/8" increments. You could probably also put on a Cynergy comb with cast-off or cast-on for right or left handed shooters but it would be all black, not camo. It comes with Invector Plus choke tubes in Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder constrictions, and others are easy to find.

This Cynergy Field is a light gun, but because it has a steel receiver it is well suited to both hunting and skeet. The Inflex recoil pad will help control recoil for extended shooting, and with a combination of three lengths available, and spacers, the length of pull can be varied from 13 3/4" to 15" or more making it an easily customizable gun for a large range of shooter heights (from under 5' to over 6'). This "Sterling Elegance" was made for J. P. Sauer & Sohn by Caesar Guerini. It is an all-around European style shotgun, with sling swivels in the case and a swivel mounting point under the barrel. Its 28" barrels chamber both 2 3/4" & 3" shells and come with 5 choke tubes in Full,. Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Cylinder constrictions. Its nicely figured stock has a 14 1/2 to 14 3/4" Length Of Pull over a checkered wood butt plate. It has a Cast-Off for a right handed shooter of 1/4". The Length of Pull is adjustable by moving the trigger, and a wrench is included. It has a steel receiver covered in elegant engraving, but weighs only 7 pounds 4.5 ounces. This Baikal shotgun was manufactured in Russia by Izhevsky mekhanichesky zavod and was imported and guaranteed by Remington. This is a 7 pound 20 Gauge over/under with 26 1/2" multi-choke chrome lined barrels. By turning screws on the face of the receiver a quarter-turn it can be converted from ejecting shells to lifting-extracting them, and back again. It normally fires the bottom barrel first, but if you press the trigger forward until it clicks it will fire the top barrel first. The trigger is mechanical so a dud does not keep the second barrel from firing. It has 1/4" Cast Off so it is for a right-hander. The Length of Pull is only 13 15/16" so shooters of less than average height (5'0" to 5'6") will find that it fits them well. It has a reasonable trigger-pull at 6 lbs 14 ounces. This Franchi Renaissance Field over/under has been professionally shortened to a 13 1/4" Length of Pull making it suitable for a compact adult or youth shooter in the 4' 10" to 5' 2" range. It has also been converted to a manual, non-automatic safety. It has been very little used, the only sign that is is not brand new are a few very light scratches in the wood on the left side of the stock just behind the receiver. It has an alloy receiver and weighs only 5 pounds 12.5 ounces. Its barrels are chambered to shoot both 2 3/4" and 3" shells, and are 27 1/2" (or 700mm) long. Tristar imports this gun from Turkey, and guarantees it for five years. It is very hard to find .410's with screw in chokes under $1500, so this is a real bargain. It comes with five Beretta style chokes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Skeet constrictions. It has an extractor - lifter- rather than ejectors, weighs 5 pounds, 12 ounces and has a 14 3/8" Length Of Pull. It has a vent rubber butt pad, a jeweled Monobloc, and floral engraving on the receiver. It has a non-automatic safety, chrome lined bores, and a single selective mechanical trigger. The trigger pull is heavy at 9 lbs, but this will probably loosen up after a few rounds. This is a lot of gun for the money, good for hunting and skeet.

This new SKB (SaKaBa) 28 Gauge O/U has 28" barrels and comes with Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder and 2 Skeet chokes added by Hero's Arms, a 2 3/4" chamber and pistol grip stock. It uses Briley choke tubes so they are easily available. LOP is 14 5/8", and it weighs 7 pounds 1.5 ounces. The receiver is cut from a forged steel ingot by computerized CNC machines to precise dimensions measured in thousandths of an inch. The final result is a low profile box lock receiver with a modified "Greener" style crossbolt locking mechanism inletted at the top of the receiver. The strength of this design ensures that it is capable of providing a lifetime of shooting enjoyment. The monobloc is also cut from a forged steel ingot by computerized CNC machines to similar precise dimensions. The monobloc contains 2 locking lugs which engage the crossbolt, 2 integral shoulder lugs and a base lug which interlocks with the receiver as the action is closed. This combination forms one of the strongest actions on the market. The barrel tubes are seated and soldered into the monobloc to ensure the correct point of impact of both the top and bottom barrel. Each side of the monobloc is precisely cut for a single piece ejector and the pivot seat. This Marlin LC Smith Side-by-Side double barrel .410 Bore is made in Spain by Zabala Hermanos, very much in the style of the old LC Smith. It has automatic selective ejectors, a single selective trigger, screw in choke tubes in Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder Constrictions, plus a Skeet tube made and added by Hero's Arms (a $40 value not available anywhere else). The pistol grip stock has a 14 3/8" length of Pull, and a slight Cast Off (1/8" for Right Handed Shooters). The wood features a Fleur de Lys checkering pattern. The action is beautifully case colored, engraved, and the side-plates and bottom of the receiver have gold accented birds in flight. A nice touch is that the action bar, or watertable, and the mating flat underside of the barrels have been engine turned, or jeweled. Hero's Arms Says: Gun Tests Magazine (December 2009) ranked the Maxus above their previous favorite the Benelli SBE II because it was easier to load, cycled everything from 2 3/4" 7/8 ounce shells to 3 1/2" 2 1/4 ounce loads, was easy to clean, and had several useful features. There is no end cap on the magazine, the forearm pulls off after a lever is lifted, the magazine limiter plug comes out with a screwdriver or a car key, the magazine cut-off allows for quick switching of loads without emptying the gun. When I first started in the Firearms business I intended to restore old shotguns, and this1963 Browning would have been a perfect candidate. Years of having people who watch "Antiques Road Show" tell me I should have never "touched it", and earnings of $0.25 an hour finally dissuaded me and now I sell them as they come. This gun is mechanically in good shape, the bluing is good, only slightly worn on sharp corners, and it could be used as is. Here is a list of the defects: it started with a Monte-Carlo stock, but the Monte-Carlo has been (I suspect professionally) shaved off and not refinished with the gloss finish (See the photo of the left stock for the refinish line); it has a replacement "White Line" recoil pad which is now rock-hard and should be replaced again; it is missing the white bead insert in the front sight, though the sight base is there; there are various handling marks in the wood, most of which could be steamed out after the finish has been removed. When you get through with this refinishing you will have an attractive Classic shotgun for field or trap.

This Browning Superposed Lightning Trap was made in 1972 and is in excellent (98%) condition. The Blue Book says about this short period of Superposed production (between 1971 and 1973 when production switched to Miroku in Japan) "During 1970-71, the stock configuration was once again changed to a full pistol grip (referred to as flat knob), and the long tang was brought back. Also at this time, mechanical triggers were implemented vs. the older inertial design, and silver solder vent. ribs vs. tin solder. As a result, this period of Superposed manufacture was mechanically better and more reliable." This gun has a Trap configuration, a high stock with almost no drop from the front to back of the comb, a beavertail forearm for better recoil control, and fixed chokes with Full (.38") and Modified (.19") constrictions. The bluing is in excellent condition, there are a few tiny chips in finish of the (possibly refinished) stock. There are small 3/8" long cracks in the wood of the stock on the sides just above the trigger at the place where the bottom point of the receiver meets the wood. The original butt plate has been replaced professionally with a Pachmayer "Old English" pad, giving a Length of Pull of just under 14" (13 15/16"). The LOP could be increased by installing a thicker pad. All together this is an excellent choice for trap shooting, or for hunting as it weighs only 7 pounds 13 ounces.

I purchased this personally to try it out and was quite pleased, but I don't have any need for a 12 Gauge Semi-Auto so I'm selling it as Almost-New-In-Case. Its warranty has never been registered. It has had about 50 shots, two rounds of skeet, fired through it. There are scads of features but the ones I like are the ComforTech stock, the straight line recoil, the easy to clean Inertial action, and the modular design which will eventually allow for changing the stock and the magazine for different applications. It comes with five Benelli Crio Chokes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Cylinder constrictions. The stock can be fitted with different combs and butt pads, and it has drop and cast spacers which can be used to adjust these measurements. It takes a little practice to get it together and apart, and it is certainly unusual enough that you should, as I sometimes tell my wife, RTFMD (Read The Fine Manual, Dear).

This Ruger Red Label was originally built in 1993. When I sent it back to Ruger to have the automatic safety converted to a manual safety, they, at no additional charge, replaced the firing pins, safety detent springs, hammer struts, manual safety and cleaned the cocking rod holes, gave it a safety function test and test firing. All of this in two weeks. Ruger has outstanding service! The gun has been used, and shows some handling marks on the wood, but generally is in excellent condition. It comes with five chokes in Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and two Skeet constrictions. An aftermarket choke tool has been added. This will be a good, reliable skeet or hunting gun for many years.

This is a slug shotgun for deer hunting (or a rifle that shoots a 492 Grain projectile at 1480 fps) based on the Beretta Xtrema2 shotgun with the Kick-off recoil system. Its rifled barrel is 24 inches long, chambers either 2 3/4" or 3" Sabot Slug Rounds, has 8 grove rifling with a right-handed twist, and it has a cantilevered Picatinny rail (MIL STD 1913) to mount a scope or electronic sight. One could, of course, buy an accessory A391 shotgun barrel and have a 3 1/2" shotgun for duck season. The Kick-Off hydraulic dampening system reduces felt recoil. This Browning Superposed Superlight Grade 1 was made in Belgium in the first full year of production, 1968. It does not have salt-wood. It is in original, untouched, condition with a 14 1/4" Length of pull over the original Browning butt plate. The wood and metal are in excellent condition with only the most minor wear and handling marks - the bluing is worn away on the straight tang behind the trigger guard (as can be seen in the photo of the Bottom of the Stock) from being carried, otherwise bluing wear is only on sharp corners. The receiver has A1-Scroll Border Engraving, and it has the slender superlight forearm. It has a solid, tapered, rib with front and mid bead sights. This is an excellent, light, upland hunting gun in excellent condition. It comes in a new leather case, with Browning label, with a three part rosewood and brass cleaning rod, bronze and fiber brushes, a mop, and a cleaning jag. The Smith & Wesson Gold Elite Side-by-Side shotgun is produced in S&W's own plant in Turkey. It has a round action in a true bone charcoal case hardened receiver, Its English stock has a 14 3/4" Length of Pull over a checkered wood butt on its AAA Grade Turkish Walnut stock. Its 20 Gauge 26" side by side barrels are chambered for 2 3/4" and 3" shells, and feature fixed chokes in Improved Cylinder (.09" constriction) and Modified (.13" constriction). The trigger is a mechanical single, non-selective type, which fires the right, more open, barrel first, then the left, tighter barrel. The gun weighs 6 pounds 7.5 ounces, and points beautifully. It is exceptionally well finished with hand cut checkering and engraving. This Renaissance Classic Combo was made before the Twin Shock Absorber recoil pad became standard. It is a good choice for someone who wants to shorten or lengthen the Length of Pull because it has a flat butt which can be cut or added to easily. It is also considerably less expensive than the newer versions. This two gauge set is ideal for upland hunting. With its 20 Gauge barrels and forearm it weighs only 5 pounds 12 ounces, with the 28 Gauge it weighs 6 pounds 2 ounces. Each gauge comes with Full, Modified, and improved Cylinder chokes. It has a 14 1/2" Length of Pull over its rubber butt pad, a Prince of Wales stock. It comes with a three year warranty from the importer BenelliUSA.

This used SKB (Sakaba) 12 Gauge O/U has 26" barrels and comes with Modified, Improved Cylinder and Skeet chokes, a 3" chamber and pistol grip stock. It uses Briley choke tubes so they are easily available. LOP is 14 1/4", and it weighs 7 pounds 8 1/2 ounces. It has the modified Greener cross bolt lock up making it one of the strongest locking systems around. An excellent gun for upland hunting or skeet. The gun is in 98% condition, the only indication of use is worn bluing on the top of the barrel where it meets the receiver, probably from being pushed into the case. There are a few exceedingly minor marks on the wood, but overall this will prove to be an exceedingly reliable gun for years of hunting or skeet.

A famous name, L. C. Smith, has been revived by Marlin with this Italian made (by Fausti Stefano) Over and Under 12 Gauge shotgun. As with the original L.C. Smiths it has a case colored receiver, and attractive fleur-de-lis checkering (all it needs is an entwined serpent and it would be the Hero's Arms Logo). It has a 28" Barrel, chambered for 2 3/4" or 3" shells, and comes with three screw in choke tubes in Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder constrictions. The stock has a 14 3/8" Length of Pull over a sporting vented rubber pad. It has a close radius pistol grip, similar to the Browning 525s. With a weight of 7 pounds 13 1/2 ounces it will tame the recoil of magnum loads. It has a tang mounted barrel selector combined with an automatic safety. HA283 Sigarms-Rizzini Aurora TR20 O/U .410 Bore 3", 28" MC Bbls., NIB, $1,895

This Rizzini is a very well made and attractive .410 suitable for Skeet, upland hunting and Sporting Clays. It has 28" barrels, which take both 2 1/2" and 3" shells, and come with five choke tubes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder constrictions. It has a Prince of Wales stock with a 14 3/4" Length of Pull, and rubber butt pad. Emphasizing its potential for use as a hunting gun, it comes with a set of sling swivels. It has a non automatic safety and barrel selector on the tang. It has a one year warranty from Sigarms. Aside from Browning, there are few other 410s with interchangeable choke tubes available in today's market.

A Browning Citori designed for upland hunting, this 28 Gauge Over/Under weighs 6 pounds 9 ounces. It has the full 525 close radius pistol-grip stock, cut checkering on a matte oil finish stock (14 1/2" Length of Pull), Schnabel forearm, and an attractive engraving pattern on the silver nitride receiver. With 26" barrels it is chambered to shoot 2 3/4" shells, and has Invector choke tubes (Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder). Additional Invector choke tubes are easy to find. It comes with a choke wrench, and a set of Omega Chamber Locks. It has both front and mid white bead sights, so would be equally at home on the skeet range as in hunting situations. The Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price is $1,971, so at $1,649 it is an excellent buy.

Manufactured in Italy by Fausti and imported by Traditions this 20 gauge Over/Under shotgun has an English stock, single selective trigger, a non-automatic safety, and an engraved receiver. The 26" barrels accept 2 3/4" and 3" shells and have screw in choke tubes in Full, Modified and Improved cylinder constriction supplied by Traditions, and two skeet chokes added by Hero's Arms.
