Huglu (pronounced HU-LU, the G is silent) is a province in Turkey. I have been looking for a quality Side by Side upland hunting gun at a reasonable price for some time and I believe I have found it in the Huglu Side by Side shotguns. The Bobwhite series has a silver colored receiver and double triggers, the Ringneck series has a Case Colored sideplate receiver and a single selective trigger. The 12 and 20 Gauge models have Greener Crossbolt locking systems, in addition to two underlocks, making for a very strong action. The receivers are of steel. Most of the guns I have in stock have "Cast Off" stocks, (that is, the Butt of the stock is about 1/4" to the right of the centerline of the gun) making them an excellent fit for a right-handed shooter (The measured "Cast" is indicated in the Data Table for each individual gun). The guns are light and handle and point beautifully. The receivers are sized for each individual Gauge, the 12 Gauge is 1.65" wide, the 20 Gauge is 1.54" wide, the 28 Gauge is 1.35" wide, and the .410 bore is 1.32" wide, which makes for beautifully proportioned guns. For both the Bobwhite and Ringneck the 12, 20 and 28 Gauge guns come with five choke tubes, Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder.

This Custom Grade Huglu Ringneck is imported by CZ-USA. It features lightly hand engraved case colored sideplates and very highly figured Turkish walnut furniture. With its 14 7/8" Length Of Pull and 7 pound weight it would make an excellent hunting or skeet gun for either a right or left handed shooter. It has a non-automatic safety, mechanical trigger, and Prince of Wales stock with a sporting 2 part butt pad. Its 20 gauge 28" barrels have 3" chambers and screw in chokes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder constrictions. A very attractive gun, well balanced, and quick pointing.

The Huglu Ringneck 28 Gauge is well made, light, points well, has a Single Tang Switch Selectable Trigger, and a Case Colored sideplate receiver. It has 2 3/4" chambers in 26" barrels which come with Five Mobil-chokes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder constrictions. It has extractors, not ejectors. A slender well proportioned (the receiver is specifically sized for a 28 Gauge) gun, it moves and points well. It weighs only 5 pounds 11 1/2 ounces. The stock has a "Prince of Wales" style pistol grip and the 14 5/8" Length Of Pull is over a two part sporting style recoil pad with a hard plastic top insert to keep from snagging on clothing. It has a slight (1/4") "Cast Off" (Butt of the stock is to the right of the centerline of the gun) making it appropriate for a right-handed shooter. Made in Turkey, in Huglu province, it is imported by Armsco and has a two year guarantee. A beautiful light gun for upland hunting.
