HA595 Franchi Destino (1 of 250) English Stock Side-by-Side 20 Ga. 2 3/4" & 3", 26"MC Bbls., NIB, $2,899

This New-In-Box Franchi Destino is a limited production (250 a year) high grade English style Side-by-Side. It has a straight stock of AAA walnut, with a 14 7/16" Length of Pull over a checkered wooden butt plate (it also comes with a rubber butt plate for rough use). It has a single selective trigger, firing order being determined by a slider on the automatic safety on the tang, and comes with "Lifters" or extractors which lift the fired hulls for easy removal and does not eject them into the woods. It has 26" barrels which shoot either 2 3/4" or 3" 20 Gauge shells, and has screw-in chokes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder constrictions. The receiver is tastefully engraved and has gold highlights. The water table and barrel flats are jeweled. It comes with a three year guarantee from BenelliUSA, the importer. This is currently Franchi's highest level shotgun. It is an elegant choice for upland hunting.

The Smith & Wesson Gold Elite Side-by-Side shotgun is produced in S&W's own plant in Turkey. It has a round action in a true bone charcoal case hardened receiver, Its English stock has a 14 3/4" Length of Pull over a checkered wood butt on its AAA Grade Turkish Walnut stock. Its 20 Gauge 26" side by side barrels are chambered for 2 3/4" and 3" shells, and feature fixed chokes in Improved Cylinder (.09" constriction) and Modified (.13" constriction). The trigger is a mechanical single, non-selective type, which fires the right, more open, barrel first, then the left, tighter barrel. The gun weighs 6 pounds 7.5 ounces, and points beautifully. It is exceptionally well finished with hand cut checkering and engraving. The gun comes with Smith & Wesson's "Heirloom Warranty" which guarantees it for the life of the original purchaser and his or her designated heir. A very traditional, and very elegant, shotgun.

HA517 Remington Model 332 O/U 12 Ga. 3" 25"MC Bbls., NIB, $1,450

Now apparently discontinued, this has become a very collectable firearm. This may be the last Remington Over/Under model made in the United States. This Remington 332 is a modern version of the classic Model 32. It has a high gloss finish on both wood and metal, making it suitable for hunting or clay target sports. It has nominal 26" (actual 25 3/8") barrels with Remchokes in Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder. It chambers both 2 3/4" and 3" shells, and appears to have a long forcing cone to reduce felt recoil. It has a 14 1/8" length of pull over the Old-English-style solid-rubber recoil pad. The cut engraving on the receiver has the same "Pointer and Setter" motif as the original Model 32. The barrel selector is in the middle of the non-automatic safety on the top tang. It has an underlock Browning style design for a low receiver. The gun goes together very smartly and looks and feels well made. It has automatic ejectors. Altogether, in my opinion, this is a simple well constructed gun which will give years of satisfactory shooting, or may increase in value as a collectible. HA498 Winchester 101 Pigeon-Presentation Trap O/U, 12 Ga. 30"F/IM, Refinished, Cased, $3,950

This is a rare and beautifully engraved Winchester 101 Pigeon-Presentation Grade trap gun. The wood has been professionally refinished by Klaus Hiptmayer and the gun is in exceptional condition. I call it a Pigeon-Presentation Grade because I am unable to find reference to a Pigeon Grade with the gold and silver inlays that are in this particular pattern, which is the Presentation grade pattern. The ordinary 101 Pigeon Grade has a silver finish receiver, and the Super Pigeon Grade has different birds on the two sides. It comes in a new, fitted solid leather case with space for snap caps and cleaning supplies, straps, and with a canvas cover to protect the case. Have a look at the details of the engraving and the gold and silver inlays and you will see why this is the rival of the Browning Midas grade. This would make a wonderful present for yourself, or for someone you wish to honor.

HA475 CZ Huglu Ringneck Custom Grade SxS 20 Ga.3", 28" MC Bbls., NIB 1795

This Custom Grade Huglu Ringneck is imported by CZ-USA. It features lightly hand engraved case colored sideplates and very highly figured Turkish walnut furniture. With its 14 7/8" Length Of Pull and 7 pound weight it would make an excellent hunting or skeet gun for either a right or left handed shooter. It has a non-automatic safety, mechanical trigger, and Prince of Wales stock with a sporting 2 part butt pad. Its 20 gauge 28" barrels have 3" chambers and screw in chokes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder, and Cylinder constrictions. A very attractive gun, well balanced, and quick pointing.

A Browning B-80 12 Gauge Semi-Automatic Gas Operated Shotgun, made by Beretta in Italy and assembled at the FN plant in Portugal for Ducks Unlimited. This is the Ducks Unlimited Central Edition, "The Plains." It has exceptionally nice furniture and is in new, unfired condition. It could easily be used as a trap gun. A Ducks Unlimited Committee might consider buying this reasonably priced Classic Ducks Unlimited Dinner Gun and auctioning it at the next dinner.
