This Beretta 471 EL was manufactured in 2004 and has seen little use.  It has picked up a ding on the bottom of the stock (Just about where you would screw in the included Sling Swivel if desired). The Exhibition Grade satin finished stock has a 14 3/4" Length of pull over a checkered wood butt plate.  The receiver and side plates are case colored and have golden birds for accent.  It comes with five Optima choke tubes in Full, Improved modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Cylinder constrictions. It weighs only 6 pounds 12 ounces, making it an easy to carry 12 Gauge.  This is an elegant gun for upland hunting.

Hero's Arms Says:  The newest incarnation of the Browning Citori, the 725, has a number of changes.  The receiver is almost .2" lower than the 625 (the Cynergy is about .35" lower than the 625) while still retaining the hinge pin design.  It comes with a mechanical trigger rather than the inertial trigger in previous Citori shotguns, which has a lighter pull.  One of the biggest innovations is the Invector (DS) Double Seal choke tubes, an entirely new design, which are longer than Invector Plus tubes, and have threads at the front and a brass band at the back to seal to the barrel. The Slporting model comes with Extended DS tubes. This Browning BT99 Micro Trap gun is New-In-Box.  It is designed specifically for trap shooting, it has no safety (safety is assured by only loading and closing the gun when your turn has come and you are standing on the pad).  It has a 32" barrel with one Full Choke Invector Plus choke tube (of course other Invector Plus chokes are easily available).  It has an Extractor, what the English call a "Lifter", so your shells don't get ejected on the ground.  It has a wide "beaver tail" forearm for a good grip and recoil control. The stock features a reduced Length of Pull at 13 3/4", suitable for the shorter shooter.  It has no palm swell so it is suitable for both left and right handed shooters. Made in 1976, the third year of production for 20 Gauge BSS shotguns, this gun may never have been fired.  The bluing and wood are in excellent condition, with only the lightest handling marks in the gloss finish.  It is fitted with a Single Non-Selective trigger (SNS) so that the more open right barrel with a Modified choke always fires first, followed by the left barrel with a Full choke.  It has an automatic safety which goes on safe every time the gun is opened.  It balances right at the hinge for fast handling.  Its 26" barrels, which chamber both 2 3/4" & 3" shells, are ideal for upland hunting.  It has a wide wrap-around beaver tail style forearm which protects the hand from hot barrels (unlike a splinter forearm which requires using gloves or a slip on hand-guard).  All in all this is a beautifully kept, historic, and functional gun for hunting or collecting.

Hero's Arms Says:  Gun Tests Magazine (December 2009) ranked the Maxus above their previous favorite the Benelli SBE II because it was easier to load, cycled everything from 2 3/4" 7/8 ounce shells to 3 1/2" 2 1/4 ounce loads, was easy to clean, and had several useful features.  There is no end cap on the magazine, the forearm pulls off after a lever is lifted, the magazine limiter plug comes out with a screwdriver or a car key, the magazine cut-off allows for quick switching of loads without emptying the gun.  It starts with a 14 1/8" Length of Pull and comes with two 1/4" spacers which would bring it to 14 5/8.  Additional spacers can be ordered and installed using longer screws.  It comes with a set of cast and drop spacers which an give it a 1/8" cast On or Off, and/or raise or lower the comb by 1/8".  This particular gun was purchased from Davidson's, so in addition to Browning standing behind their guns it comes with a Lifetime Replacement warranty from Davidson's. HA933 Browning Superposed (Belgium), O/U, 12 Ga. 2 3/4", 30"M/F Bbls, (Used 95%), $995

When I first started in the Firearms business I intended to restore old shotguns, and this1963 Browning would have been a perfect candidate.  Years of having people who watch "Antiques Road Show" tell me I should have never "touched it", and earnings of $0.25 an hour finally dissuaded me and now I sell them as they come.  This gun is mechanically in good shape, the bluing is good, only slightly worn on sharp corners, and it could be used as is.  Here is a list of the defects: it started with a Monte-Carlo stock, but the Monte-Carlo has been (I suspect professionally) shaved off and not refinished with the gloss finish (See the photo of the left stock for the refinish line); it has a replacement "White Line" recoil pad which is now rock-hard and should be replaced again; it is missing the white bead insert in the front sight, though the sight base is there; there are various handling marks in the wood, most of which could be steamed out after the finish has been removed.  When you get through with this refinishing you will have an attractive Classic shotgun for field or trap.

HA905 Browning BPS Micro Pump Shotgun (Compact Adult/Youth Ambidextrous) 20 Ga. 3", 22" MC Bbl., NIB, $525

This 20 Gauge Browning BPS Micro Shotgun is ideal for the smaller shooter, and for left or right handed shooters because it ejects shells from the bottom, and the safety is on the top of the receiver so it can be operated by either thumb.  The receiver is made from forged and machined steel.  The barrel is a compact 22" in length, with ventilated rib, and it has Invector Plus Choke Tubes in Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder Constrictions, others are widely available.  It has a 3" chamber so can shoot either 2 3/4" or 3" shells.  With the addition of a rifled choke tube it would make a handy slug gun for deer hunting. It has dual steel action bars.  The stock & forearm have cut checkering and satin finish walnut.  With its weight of 6 pounds 13.5 ounces, its 13 5/16" Length of pull, and shorter than average 3" LOTP (Length of Trigger Pull) from the bottom of the Pistol Grip, this is an all around gun for a compact adult or young person, suitable for hunting of all types as well as skeet and other clay target sports.
