HA1321 Smith & Wesson Silver
Elite Round-Body Game-Target-Shotgun, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" &3", 30"MC Bbls.,
New-In-Box, $1,895 SALE
$1,195
For a full page of photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.
The Smith & Wesson Silver Elite Over/Under is an all-around shogun suitable for hunting or clay target shooting. It is also ambidextrous in that it has neutral cast, and no left or right palm swells. It chambers both 2 3/4" shells for skeet, sporting clays or trap, and 3" shell for hunting. It has 30" non-ported barrels so your hunting companions and dogs won't complain of the noise. It has a 14 3/4" Length of Pull, from its single non-selective trigger (the bottom barrel always shoots first) to its solid rubber recoil pad. It has a bone charcoal case hardened receiver, and a finely jeweled Monobloc. It comes with five choke tubes in Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Cylinder constrictions, and a friction choke tool (sort of a Morse style Taper). It has hand-cut 24 LPI checkering. It has a front white bead and brass mid-bead sights. It was made by Smith & Wesson in their own factory in Turkey, but is guaranteed and serviced by Smith & Wesson in the U.S.A.. The guarantee is unique, when you send in the warranty registration card you designate an heir, so the gun is under warranty for your life, plus your heirs lifetime. This wouldn't mean much from some companies, but S&W has been around for a long time. It apparently did not sell well at the list price of $2,380, and Hero's Arms would have been selling it at $1,895, but I have been able to get a few at close-out pricing and can sell it for half of list price, $1,195 (While they last the un-photographed ones will have free shipping).

HA1333 Winchester Super X3 Compact Walnut Field, (Compact Adult/Youth) Gas-Semi-Auto, 20 Ga., 2 3/4" & 3", 26" MC Bbl., NIB, $995
For a full page of photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.
Winchester Says: Bold looks and innovative features make the Winchester Super X3 Field Compact a beautiful sight to behold and a force to reckon with. Weighing in at a scant 6 3/4 pounds — thanks to a weight-saving magazine tube and recoil spring system, slim barrel with a machined rib, and an alloy receiver, — the 3" chambered Super X3 Field has all the features you want in a field gun, or a sporting gun for that matter. The self-adjusting Active Valve gas system reduces recoil significantly more than recoil-operated systems and a proprietary next generation Pachmayr® Decelerator® recoil pad is fitted to further increase shooting comfort. Trim grip and forearm dimensions add to the lightweight, fast handling feeling. The .742" (.630" in 20 Ga.) Back-Bored Technology and Invector-Plus™ choke tube system work together to provide perfect patterns. A unique gunmetal grey Perma-Cote UT (Ultra Tough) surface finish is applied to external surfaces for extreme corrosion protection, and the bolt is plated with electroless nickel for added corrosion resistance. This is one shotgun you must experience to believe. Three choke tubes and two stock spacers for length of pull adjustments are included.
Hero's Arms Says: This is an all around light twenty with reduced recoil that is intended for the shorter shooter.. The gun comes with one spacer installed and a 13 1/4" Length of Pull, but 2 more can be installed to bring it to 13 3/4", or the installed one can be removed bringing it to 13", so the gun can grow with the shooter. The cast & drop shims can be installed between the stock and the receiver to suit individual preferences for cast on or cast off and drop. It would be handy for most kinds of hunting, and for skeet or sporting clays. It uses Invector Plus chokes which are widely available, and comes with tubes in Full, Modified, and Improved Cylinder. It is made by FN in Belgium.

HA1317 Browning Citori 725 Field, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" & 3",. 28"MC (Invector DS) Bbls., New-In-Box, $2,095
For a full page of photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.
Hero's Arms Says: The newest incarnation of the Browning Citori, the 725, has a number of changes. The receiver is almost .2" lower than the 625 (the Cynergy is about .35" lower than the 625) while still retaining the hinge pin design. It comes with a mechanical trigger rather than the inertial trigger in previous Citori shotguns, which has a lighter pull. One of the biggest innovations is the Invector (DS) Double Seal choke tubes, an entirely new design, which are longer than Invector Plus tubes, and have threads at the front and a brass band at the back to seal to the barrel. The recoil pad, called Inflex II, is new technology which causes the stock to drop away from your face when the gun recoils. It has a long forcing cone for better patterns and reduced recoil through the over-bored barrels. To see Browning's description of all of these features click here.
Browning Says: 725 FIELD: · RECEIVER Steel • Low-profile • Silver nitride finish • Accented, high-relief engraving · BARREL Ventilated top rib · ACTION Mechanical trigger system • Hammer ejectors • Top-tang barrel selector/safety · STOCK Gloss oil finish Grade II/III walnut with close radius pistol grip · FEATURES Vector Pro™ lengthened forcing cones • Three Invector-DS™ choke tubes • Ivory front and mid-bead sights.

HA1240 Ruger Red Label Sporting, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" & 3", 30"MC Bbls. (Used 99%) $1,395
For a full page of photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.
This Ruger Red Label Sporting was sold new by Hero's Arms a few months ago. The owner fired 75 shots, all through the top barrel, and decided he wanted a dedicated trap gun, so traded it in for a BT99. It has a few small abrasions on the right side top barrel near the muzzle which reduces it to 99% condition. It comes with 5 choke tubes in Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder and two Skeet constrictions. The 30" Barrels are overbored to .745" for a better pattern and reduced recoil. It has nicely figured wood, and is basically a new gun. Because the barrels are not ported it could easily be used for hunting, as well as sporting clays, skeet or trap.

HA1148 B. Rizzini (Sigarms) SA5 Sporting, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4", 29 5/8"MC (Nom 30) Bbls. (Used 99%), $1,895
For a full page of photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.
This little used (99%) B. Rizzini, imported by Sigarms, is an all around sporting clays and skeet gun which could also be used for hunting or trap. With its nominal 30" (actually 29 5/8", or 750mm) barrels, 2 3/4" chamber, long forcing cones, chrome lined bores, and five Seminole Extended Chokes in Modified, Light Modified, Improved Cylinder, Skeet and Cylinder constrictions it is ready for anything on a skeet or sporting clays course. For trap handicap doubles you might want to order full or extra full chokes from Seminole. The only sign of use is a small scratch on the left side of the stock, shown in the photo. The barrels are not ported, so it could be used for hunting. It weighs 7 pounds, 15 ounces and has a 14 1/2" Length of Pull. It has a small 1.5mm Hex Socket behind the trigger which is used to adjust trigger play, and it comes with a wrench. In my opinion adjusting trigger play is one of those "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" situations. This is a high quality gun, and service is available from the current importer, Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing Company (CSMC). General features of B. Rizzini shotguns are listed on CSMC's website.

HA1139 SKB 585 Target, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4" & 3", 28"MC Bbls., (Used 99%), $1,295
For a full page of photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.
This lightly used SKB (SaKaBa) .12 Gauge O/U has 28" barrels and comes with Full, Modified, Improved Cylinder and 2 Skeet chokes, a 3" chamber for both 2 1/2" & 3" shells so it can be used both for clays and hunting, and a pistol grip stock. It uses Briley choke tubes so they are easily available. LOP is 14 3/8" over solid rubber recoil pad, and it weighs 8 pounds, 0.5 ounces. The receiver is cut from a forged steel ingot by computerized CNC machines to precise dimensions measured in thousandths of an inch. The final result is a low profile box lock receiver with a modified "Greener" style crossbolt locking mechanism inletted at the top of the receiver. The strength of this design ensures that it is capable of providing a lifetime of shooting. The monobloc is also cut from a forged steel ingot by computerized CNC machines to similar precise dimensions. The monobloc contains 2 locking lugs which engage the crossbolt, 2 integral shoulder lugs and a base lug which interlocks with the receiver as the action is closed. This combination forms one of the strongest actions on the market. The barrel tubes are seated and soldered into the monobloc to ensure the correct point of impact of both the top and bottom barrel. Each side of the monobloc is precisely cut for a single piece ejector and the pivot seat. The finished barrel group rotates at the pivot seat on two trunnions mounted through the sides of the receiver. After years of use, the SKB action can be easily re-tightened if need be, ensuring that it maintains a tight fit for many more years of service. An excellent gun for sporting clays, skeet, trap or hunting. There are no dings or scratches anywhere on the gun, the only sign that it is not brand new is some deterioration, or freckling in the silver finish mostly on the top tang and the top left of the receiver. It has an after-market fiber optic sight glued on the rib behind the original bead front sight - this could be removed if it was not wanted.

HA1118 Miida 2200 Skeet, O/U, 12 Ga., 2 3/4", 27" SK/SK (Used 97%), $995
For a full page of photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.
OK, so I didn't know what a Miida was either. Miida (Pronounced Mee-ee-dah) is a Winchester 101, but with better wood and engraving, smuggled out of the Ohlin-Kodensha plant where the 101 was made by Nikko to be assembled in a building next door and then sold in the US in 1972 and 1973 by Marubeni USA (all this according to the Blue Book entry on Nikko). This used Miida is in excellent condition except for a crack in the wood behind the receiver on the left side which doesn't cause any trouble and seems unlikely to grow. It has beautiful, almost full coverage, deeply incised, floral engravings on the receiver and top lever. The forearm release lever is the older, more expensive to make, two piece design similar to the Browning Superposed. It accepts 2 3/4" shells in its 27" barrels, fixed choked Skeet and Skeet. It has a 14" Length Of Pull over a plastic but plate, making it suitable for the shorter shooter, and of course, a recoil pad could be installed to increase the LOP. This would be an excellent gun for skeet, upland hunting or sporting clays, particularly since a gun of this quality and appearance is rarely found selling for under $1000.

For a full page of photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.
Browning Says: Description: Receiver - Strong, lightweight aluminum alloy. Barrel - Lightweight profile • Flat, ventilated rib. Action - Gas-operated autoloader • 3" and 3 1/2" chamber models • New Power Drive Gas System reduces recoil and cycles a wide range of loads. Features - Vector Pro™ lengthened forcing cone • Three Invector-Plus™ choke tubes • Inflex Technology recoil pad • Lightning Trigger System • Magazine Cut-Off • Turnkey Magazine Plug.
Hero's Arms Says: Gun Tests Magazine (December 2009) ranked the Maxus above their previous favorite the Benelli SBE II because it was easier to load, cycled everything from 2 3/4" 7/8 ounce shells to 3 1/2" 2 1/4 ounce loads, was easy to clean, and had several useful features. There is no end cap on the magazine, the forearm pulls off after a lever is lifted, the magazine limiter plug comes out with a screwdriver or a car key, the magazine cut-off allows for quick switching of loads without emptying the gun. It starts with a 14 1/8" Length of Pull and comes with two 1/4" spacers which would bring it to 14 5/8. Additional spacers can be ordered and installed using longer screws. It comes with a set of cast and drop spacers which an give it a 1/8" cast On or Off, and/or raise or lower the comb by 1/8". This particular gun was purchased from Davidson's, so in addition to Browning standing behind their guns it comes with a Lifetime Replacement warranty from Davidson's. HA915 Remington 1100 Sporting Gas-Semi-Auto, 12 Ga., 2 3/4", 28"MC Bbl., NIB, $945
For a full page of photographs and a detailed description click the photo above or click here.
Remington Says: The Model 1100 Sporting 12 provides timeless good looks in a light-recoiling sporting clays gun. It features a polished blue receiver and 28-inch light target contoured vent rib barrel with twin bead target sights. The American walnut stock and fore-end display cut checkering with a high-gloss finish and a sporting clays style recoil pad. The Model 1100 Sporting 12 also offers a gold-plated trigger, as well as four extended choke tubes: Skeet, Improved Cylinder, Light Modified and Modified.
Hero's Arms Says: A gas operated semi-auto should provide the least felt recoil of the various systems, though there is a lot of subjectivity in this. This is an all around gun, equally useful for hunting, sporting clays or skeet. It comes with a two year warranty from Remington, and a Lifetime Replacement warranty from Davidson's.
